Apple dominated the tech agenda today, caught between global growth, regulatory pressure and a deepening rivalry with its peers. The company briefly removed Telegram from the App Store after reviewers found child sexual abuse material, restoring it only after the content was taken down and the responsible account banned — a reminder of how swiftly platform rules can disrupt even major apps. At the same time, Apple is developing an iPhone-to-Windows copy-and-paste feature for EU users after a Microsoft interoperability request under the Digital Markets Act, though the rollout may not arrive until 2027. Apple also finds itself in a more combative fight with OpenAI, which published private messages and emails to challenge Apple’s trade-secrets claims in an unusually public rebuttal. Offsetting the legal and policy friction, Apple hit a major commercial milestone in India, surpassing $10 billion in annual sales there for the first time.
