Entertainment news is led by Oasis turning a long-running family feud into a public comeback, with a reunion documentary and high-profile Venice appearances keeping the band at the center of attention. Elsewhere, film culture broadens the picture, from a new art-house drama on grief and isolation to debate over how women are portrayed on screen.

“Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger” puts Noel and Liam Gallagher’s 2025 reunion tour on screen, framing the comeback as both a stadium event and a personal reconciliation. The documentary follows the brothers on the road and leans on scenes of emotion, renewed connection and fervent fan response during the performances.

Noel and Liam Gallagher reunite publicly at the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of the Oasis documentary, appearing together after years of estrangement. Noel says music brings them back together, and the brothers’ joint red-carpet appearance, including affectionate photos, turns the premiere into a major moment in the band’s comeback story.

The Oasis documentary premieres at Venice and draws heavy attention on the Lido, extending the band’s reunion narrative beyond the concert stage. Even without a press conference from the Gallagher brothers, the film’s festival debut becomes a focal point for attendees and photographers and helps cement the comeback as a major entertainment event.

Andrew Haigh’s “A Long Winter” arrives as a stark period drama set on an isolated Colorado farm in the early 1950s. The story follows a family living through the aftermath of a mother’s disappearance, using winter, distance and uncertainty to explore grief, unease and the strain on those left waiting.

Taapsee Pannu challenges the film industry’s defense of objectifying women, rejecting the idea that it can be explained away as simple demand and supply. She argues that audience choices shape what gets made, and says meaningful change in how women are portrayed will depend on viewers supporting different kinds of cinema.

Cruz Beckham shares a family photo after performing at Leeds Festival, prompting renewed attention to possible strains within the Beckham family. The post includes several relatives and lands as Brooklyn Beckham publicly supports Nicola Peltz, adding another social-media chapter to speculation about divisions between family members.
