At the same time, dealmaking and product launches show firms still pushing ahead with expansion in wealth management and digital finance.

Boston Scientific says a cyberattack is disrupting global operations, including its ability to process and ship customer orders. The medical device maker says it is working to respond to the incident, but normal service has not yet been restored and the full operational impact remains uncertain.

The U.S. Justice Department says it has seized internet domains tied to two alleged Chinese hacking platforms known as QScan and QTRouter. Authorities say the infrastructure is used to target NASA, the Federal Reserve, the Senate and other government and critical-infrastructure organizations as part of a broader disruption effort.

Vanguard agrees to acquire adviser-focused fintech platform Altruist in a deal reported at about $4 billion. The transaction gives the investment giant a stronger foothold with independent financial advisers and is expected to close later this year, subject to customary closing conditions.

The settlement resolves allegations tied to federal contracting and employment-related decisions under the department’s Civil Rights Fraud Initiative, without an admission of liability.

The United States designates UK-based Palestine Action as a specially designated global terrorist entity and imposes sanctions. The move, announced by the Treasury Department, is tied to alleged support for an act of terrorism and gives U.S. authorities the power to freeze assets linked to the group.

Revolut begins a phased rollout of its first euro-pegged stablecoin, EURR, to selected customers in Denmark, Poland and Portugal. The launch is limited at first rather than being opened across its full user base, marking a cautious entry into euro-denominated digital tokens.

Veteran journalist and Eagle Online publisher Dotun Oladipo dies at 56 after suddenly falling ill in his Lagos office. His death is confirmed by representatives of online publishing groups, ending a long career in Nigerian journalism and digital news publishing.
